To address the pressing needs for IT talent across industries, VTC established the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT), VTC's 14th member institution, on 1 November 2023, to offer comprehensive IT and relevant technology programmes for secondary school leavers, working adults and industry practitioners. The HKIIT programmes cover in-demand and emerging IT skills in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Data Science, Web 3.0, Internet of Things, and more, with a view to nurturing all-round IT talent. The first cohort of HKIIT students commenced their studies in 2024/25 academic year.

Equips students with expertise in developing and administering business and innovative IT solutions, network systems, cloud computing, big data, data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and smart technologies.

Equip students with core creative industry skills including computer graphics, digital media, virtual reality, interactive technology, computer games and animation, theme park and theatre creative technology, esports technology and drone and entertainment technology.
IT Skills
The programmes offered by the HKIIT cover all aspects of IT and are designed to provide students with the latest knowledge and skills to develop a career in this exciting and rapidly changing environment. Students will be able to develop and support all types of computer and information systems commonly used.
