三名雲端系統及數據中心管理高級文憑學生張金洪、關沛東和梁惠美利，憑作品「擴增實境AI駭客助教」，在副學位組別中贏得亞軍。

資訊科技學科學生於高職組比賽中，贏得兩個全國一等獎。數據科學及分析高級文憑學生李瑋舜、陳梓禧和黃紹岐，運用大數據和人工智能技術，研發出「無人機搜救系統」; 遊戲軟件開發高級文憑學生冼穎正和蘇恩浩，則以自行設計的遊戲「Aissess – The Lost Page」奪獎。

雲端系統及數據中心管理高級文憑學生莊桂鴻和張金洪，分別於比賽中贏得冠軍及亞軍。冠軍得主莊桂鴻更代表香港，同年12月到美國拉斯維加斯參加總決賽，主辦機構會贊助莊桂鴻機票、酒店及食宿。

就讀雲端系統及數據中心管理高級文憑和青年學院的學生伍善正、張金洪、蘇偉欣和羅鎂晴，以作品「擴增實境AI駭客助教」，於決賽中奪得銅獎和最佳創意獎。另外，三名修讀軟件工程高級文憑學生方明道、黎家全和胡溢鈞，則在香港區比賽中奪得一等獎。

就讀本學科與西英格蘭大學協辦的數碼媒體理學士學位銜接課程的學生，於比賽中囊括冠亞季軍。他們運用5G科技，將現有電話亭改裝成智能電話亭，從而提供更豐富的資訊和多元化服務。
 

兩組資訊科技學科的學生，包括來自香港專業進修學院(屯門分校)組成的隊伍，設計了「Bed Man智能嬰兒床」，透過智能科技協助父母照顧他們的孩子，並獲得優異獎。另一優異獎隊伍來自才晉高等教育學院，他們以「Eldventure 歷史故事閱讀平台」，讓長者以此平台分享自己的有趣往事。

兩隊就讀手機軟件開發高級文憑，和軟件工程高級文憑的學生，於學生創新獎(大專及本科組)中，分別以作品「耆妙歷程」和「基於移動設備多攝像頭直播解決方案」，取得優異證書。
 

The Big Data & Analytics Forum, organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Information Technology Discipline in collaboration with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Association of Cloud and Mobile Computing Professionals, was held on 25 May 2017 at the Charles K. Kao Auditorium of Hong Kong Science Park. Mr. Victor Lam, Deputy Government Chief Information Officer (Infrastructure and Operations) of OGCIO, was invited to be the Guest of Honour and delivered a keynote speech to share the Government’s initiatives.
Ten conference talks and two panel sessions delivered by experts and professionals were offered to share and discuss the topical issues relating to big data analytics applications, FinTech, Smart Cities, the Internet of Things and data monetization.
The forum brought over 300 participants from industry and academia and provided a great platform for participants to share insights, learn about new trends, and interact with leading experts in the field.
