HKIIT 与ASL签署合作备忘录共同培育资讯科技人才

香港资讯科技学院(HKIIT)与自动系统(香港)有限公司(ASL)于2 月20 日签署了合作备忘录(MoU),共同培育资讯科技人才,壮大湾区创科人才库,并推动职业专才教育。

是次签署合作备忘录,ASL将为HKIIT的学生提供职业发展机会,让他们接触先进的技术、卓越的流程和经验丰富的IT专家,积累实际工作经验,协助其在资讯科技业获得更佳的发展前景。此外,ASL将优先考虑HKIIT毕业生进行全职工作面试,突显ASL对资讯科技专才的重视,并提升HKIIT学生的就业机会。

HKIIT除提供职前培训,例如高级文凭及基础课程文凭等职前课程外,亦深信终身学习及行业专业发展的重要性,因此学院新设名为「SkillsUp」的在职培训服务,与行业伙伴、专业人士及其他持份者紧密合作,提供技能再培训及技能提升等培训课程,为行业从业员、企业专才及在职人士装备数码技能。在此合作中,HKIIT将透过「SkillsUP」协助ASL企业员工提升及更新技能,以满足数码时代千变万化的需求。

HKIIT与ASL携手合作致力推动资讯科技领域的职业专才教育;可望为HKIIT的学生提供机会,在瞬息万变的资讯科技行业中发展所需的全面技能,亦彰显双方共同致力于培育职业专才、推动粤港澳大湾区创科产业的发展以及携手共建数字湾区的决心。

「职专毕业生留港计划(VPAS)」的创新及科技业宣讲会于1月27日在深圳圆满结束!我们非常高兴看到现场和线上参加者的踊跃支持。

讲座反应热烈,许多家长和学生在结束后仍留下询问有关VPAS的问题。他们对香港资讯科技学院的高级文凭课程表现出浓厚兴趣,令我们非常鼓舞。

特别感谢张鸿禧先生分享他作为校友的心路历程,以及他所修读的高级文凭课程如何为他在联想电讯盈科企业方案(LPS)的成功职业生涯作出贡献。同时,我们也衷心感谢何美俞女士分享了LPS人才发展策略的见解。他们的分享让参加者对IT行业最新职涯发展有更深的认识。

香港资讯科技学院(HKIIT) 与粤港澳大湾区青年协会于1月23日签署合作备忘录,共同推动粤港两地之间的职业专才教育合作。

自去年十一月初成立以来,HKIIT一直致力于推动资讯科技领域的职业专才教育。此次签署的合作备忘录中,粤港澳大湾区青年协会将协助HKIIT推广「职专毕业生留港计划」,旨在让更多内地学生、老师和家长了解HKIIT在职业专才教育的优势。此外,HKIIT与粤港澳大湾区青年协会将开展不同的合作,包括师生交流,带领学生亲身参观创业基地,体验内地创业的氛围,促进教学人员和学生的流动,并为香港和大湾区的学生开拓更多协同创新的机遇。

为推动资讯科技专才培育,香港资讯科技学院 (HKIIT) 与阿里云于1月15日签署合作备忘录,携手合作为资讯科技人才发展带来新的动力。

是次签署的合作备忘录,阿里云为HKIIT的教学团队提供云平台,将为学生提供更丰富的学习资源,让他们能够于在学期间发挥创意思维,开发更多不同的资讯科技项目。同时,透过阿里云建立的 Alibaba Cloud Academic Empowerment Program,学生将有机会与世界各地的院校进行交流与比赛,从而提升他们的资讯科技知识和技能。

此外,HKIIT还将透过名为「SkillsUP」的在职培训课程,与阿里云协助企业员工和业界人士掌握最新的数码技能。这项合作将为学生和在职人士创造更多的专业发展机遇,并为香港和大湾区的资讯科技业贡献更多的人才。

Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Check Point & Co-Host Cybersecurity Competition to Nurture Talent

HKIIT and Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (CPST) signed an MoU to address the growing demand for cybersecurity talent. Our collaboration aims to groom IT talent with the essential and latest cybersecurity skills and knowledge. HKIIT will offer upskilling/reskilling programmes to empower CPST staff with the latest digital skills. On the other hand, Check Point will provide professional training and employment opportunities to IT discipline students. Together, we will co-organise cybersecurity education activities to enhance public awareness and foster expertise in this field.

It is with great pleasure that we welcomed Mr. Baron CHAN, Superintendent of Police, Cyber Security Division, Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force, as our Guest of Honour for the MOU signing ceremony and the “Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2023”.

The "Inter-school Cybersecurity Competition 2023” has garnered significant attention, attracting over 200 students to participate and showcase their skills and knowledge. Students were challenged to leverage Check Point's platform to identify crucial clues and gain insights into hackers' attack patterns. It was a highly competitive event, testing analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork spirit.

HKIIT and Check Point are excited about future collaborations and the positive impact we will create together in the realm of cybersecurity. Stay tuned for more updates!

Lenovo and Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology collaborate to cultivate IT talent Both parties will co-develop new curriculum to nurture talent and fill the IT talent gap in Hong Kong

HKIIT and Lenovo Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to forge a strong partnership for grooming IT talent and providing new curriculum in emerging technologies and in-demand skills. We are honoured to have Professor Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry to attend the MOU Signing Ceremony as our Guest of Honour. Leveraging Lenovo’s practical industry experience and HKIIT’s expertise in vocational and professional education and training, this collaboration aims to boost the workforce skillsets, and support the government’s efforts to transform the city into an innovation and IT hub.

Pleasure to welcome the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government and Chinese Leading Enterprises representatives to visit Cybersecurity Centre & Discuss Vocational Education Development

HKIIT had the honour of receiving esteemed guests from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR and the other leading Chinese companies to visit IVE (Chai Wan) and our Cybersecurity Centre. We were delighted to showcase our advanced facilities and technology to this distinguished delegation. The visit allowed us to share the latest developments of HKIIT and how we will continue to nurture competitive IT talents, contributing to the growth of our society. It was truly an enriching experience for all involved. We look forward to further collaborations and opportunities to exchange knowledge and expertise.

IVE IT Discipline students won awards in various recent industry competitions

IVE IT Discipline students participated in various industry competitions and performed outstanding achievements in the past several months.

1. HD in Data Science and Analytics students from IVE (Tsing Yi) Swept Champion, 1st Runner up, 2nd Runner up and Best Innovation Awards in IET YPEC 2023

  • Champion & Best Innovation Project “Portable Brainwave Control Framework”
    An industrial partnership project cooperates with R2C2 to seek an innovative approach to robotic control. It aims to develop a controlling framework incorporating small robots, allowing the robot dog to respond to commands and use Brain waves to control the walking path.
     
  • 1st Runner up Project “Intelligent Driver Behavior Detection Service”
    A model aims for detecting unsafe driving behaviours to avoid traffic accidents. Alert feedback will notify the driver when unsafe driving behaviours are seen. System has foreseen that an innovative micro-service will monitor all driving behaviours in rented vehicles.
     
  • 2nd Runner up Project “Rehab-KG 復康易: Knowledge-Graph (KG) AI Rehabilitation Support Platform”
    An Al Rehabilitation Treatment Support Platform aims to provide better rehabilitation and physical therapy services for the elderly and patients in need within the community.

HKIIT is delighted to have co-organised the IET Faraday Challenge Day 2023, an incredible event fostering STEM education and innovation!

Since 2013, the IET Faraday Challenge Days have been a remarkable initiative by the IET Hong Kong, offering junior secondary students a unique cross-curricular experience in Science, Design and Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). It allows them to tackle tough engineering problems and develop creative solutions.

This year's theme, the 'Future Flight Challenge,' invited over 100 F1 and F2 students and teachers from 11 schools, forming 13 teams, to compete at the Bright Future Hall in IVE (Morrison Hill) on 25 November 2023.

In just 8 hours, these talented F1 and F2 students, along with their dedicated teachers, passionately designed and prototyped innovative solutions using diverse materials and electronic components. Their task was to create prototypes supporting air mobility vehicles with a focus on accessibility, ease of use, safety, and impact on the environment.

The winning team designed a prototype of a drone with a parachute system and an user interface. Congratulations to the students for their outstanding achievement!

Participating in the IET Faraday Challenge Days provided these students with hands-on experience as engineers, immersed in real-life challenges related to aviation domain. Their dedication and the quality of their work throughout the event were truly commendable.

We extend our gratitude to the IET, VTC Innovation & Technology Co-creation Centre (ITCC) and Hong Kong Association for Computer Education (HKACE) for their support in making this event a spectacular success. Our HKIIT teachers and students had an incredible time inspiring and offering technical support to the participants when they designed their own prototypes. It was a rewarding experience for all!

At HKIIT, we believe in nurturing young talent and fostering a passion for technology.
